Nanny Salaries in Oregon
|
The
following is an overview of the nanny industry and what
is expected from the nanny, as well as the family.
Please
Read on to view our Permanent and Temporary Fees
• Permanent nannies usually
consider their permanent placement family their primary
job and source of income. They normally work 4-5
days a week, 9-10 hours per day. Although this is true,
part-time nannies, working the part-time schedules
mentioned above, are in big demand as well.
• A
nanny’s typical salary would vary, depending on the type
of work a family may be requesting in addition to
childcare (i.e., cleaning, cooking, transporting
children, shopping,etc.). Salaries are negotiated
between the nanny and the family.
• Salaries
usually range between $10.00-$20.00/hour for
part-time schedules under 24 hrs/week.
•
Salaries usually range between
$1800.00-$2500.00/month for part-time schedules
of 25-39 hrs/week.
• Salaries usually range
between $2000.00-$3000.00/month for full-time
schedules of 40+ hours/week or more.
•
Many times families will discuss health insurance
options with the nanny. Maybe the nanny will get
half of her insurance paid for, or may be put on the
family’s insurance.
• In addition, vacation time,
sick leave and any other concerns need to be discussed
in advance with the nanny, prior to decisions being
made.
• Tax information can be found on the tax
sheet, or contact your local tax advisor for more
details.
* Please read the following If you have
previously used our temporary 24-hour sleep-over
service, or our temporary monthly service, ask
about our discounted permanent placement rates.* There is a non-refundable administrative fee of $60.00
that is due at the time a request has been made to Karoline’s Nannies to find a permanent nanny. The
remainder of the permanent placement fee is due after the nanny has been hired by you.
Nanny fees vary, depending on the type of schedule she
will be holding with you (the employer). |
