	NANNY LOCATION: GRESHAM/SE PORTLAND EXPERIENCE: INFANTS-PRETEENS DISCIPLINE PHILOSOPHY: Depending the age older children require a different discipline strategy than younger children. But There are ways to handle situations, I believe in talking with children, no yelling, and calmly explain the consequences to their actions. IN 5 YEARS I SEE MYSELF... Married and maybe children SPECIAL NEEDS EXPERIENCE: I have over 3 years experience in working with infants to preschool age. I have a little sister age 10. She has some special needs. FOREIGN LANGUAGES: none. ADDITIONAL INFORMATION: I love being around children and am truly adaptable to any scenario or need.

Working, and planning on getting married SPECIAL NEEDS EXPERIENCE: I have worked with a deaf child, age 10. FOREIGN LANGUAGES: none. ADDITIONAL INFORMATION: I am a very upbeat, and a bubbly person. I have a good attitude and follow instructions easily. I love being around kids, they are a joy to work with.
	NANNY LOCATION: BEAVERTON EXPERIENCE: NEWBORNS-13 YEARS DISCIPLINE PHILOSOPHY: Consistency is very important so I like to use the parents' method of discipline. In general though, I believe in positive reinforcement, time-outs with discussing why the child is there and two warnings before-hand (1 minute for every year old beginning roughly when they are 2 years old depending on the child), and taking away privileges (depending on age). IN 5 YEARS I SEE MYSELF... My daughter will be just starting Kindergarten so I will probably be reminiscing about how she was today. Hopefully I will have at least one children's book published by then and my husband and I will own a house. I see myself as still being a nanny or possibly owning a small kennel for dogs, cats, bunnies, etc. SPECIAL NEEDS EXPERIENCE: I have brief experience babysitting a boy with Down Syndrome and a couple of children with food allergies. I was also a study buddy to a first-grade boy with a speech impairment. FOREIGN LANGUAGES: I took 3 years of Spanish in high school, and 1 semester in college, but I am better at reading Spanish rather than speaking it. My infant daughter and I are also learning a few basic signs in sign language. ADDITIONAL INFORMATION: I would love to find another wonderful family to work for that would be comfortable having me bring my 9-month-old daughter with me, as she is still breastfeeding. The last family I worked for had one daughter that absolutely adored having a playmate (and vice versa). I have a BA in Interdisciplinary Studies-Elementary Education and am certified in CPR and First Aid.

Every age has a different discipline that has to be applied. IN 5 YEARS I SEE MYSELF... I will be continually growing, expanding, learning, and reaching higher for all my goals. SPECIAL NEEDS EXPERIENCE:  I have experience working with a child with speech problems. We were working together with her speech therapist to improve and help her speech develop. FOREIGN LANGUAGES: Romanian, English ADDITIONAL INFORMATION: I am looking to work with a family that will recognize my hard work and dedication of 13 years.
	NANNY LOCATION: BEAVERTON/HILLSBORO/WEST PORTLAND/TIGARD EXPERIENCE: NEWBORNS-SCHOOL-AGE CHILDREN DISCIPLINE PHILOSOPHY: I use time outs for various minutes depending on the child's age. There is no "discipline" required for infants. IN 5 YEARS I SEE MYSELF... I feel I will be doing better than my past years-- becoming wiser and more experienced. SPECIAL NEEDS EXPERIENCE:  I have an easier time understanding children, and easier time working with them. I am patient and am always their for every child's need--special needs or not. FOREIGN LANGUAGES: Mandarin Chinese, English ADDITIONAL INFORMATION: I am better than most when it comes to getting along with children. I do better with kids aged around infant to 5 years old.
	NANNY LOCATION: TIGARD EXPERIENCE: NEWBORNS-TEENS DISCIPLINE PHILOSOPHY: I believe children are very smart no matter what age, and understand right from wrong when it is explained to them in a way that would be age-appropriate for the child.  After that, distracting, redirecting and then time-outs have been very successful for me.  In extreme cases, taking away a toy or privilege would be my next step. IN 5 YEARS I SEE MYSELF...I would like to continue as a professional nanny for as long as possible.  Being married would be nice, but I don't plan on having any children of my own. Nannying has been very rewarding for me. SPECIAL NEEDS EXPERIENCE:  None FOREIGN LANGUAGES: None ADDITIONAL INFORMATION: I am a career nanny, and my career is special to me. I am patient and trustworthy, and I like to go with the flow.  I communicate daily with parents about accomplishments, problems or just about life in general.  I like being outside, reading, trivia, puzzles and traveling.  I think any family I work for will appreciate the fact that I am older, responsible and flexible.  This has proven to be a good thing for parents in the past.

IN 5 YEARS I SEE MYSELF...Graduated from college and in my new career as a sign language interpreter; playing guitar fluently and continuing to take life one day at a time. SPECIAL NEEDS EXPERIENCE:  My very first nanny job was for a wonderful little boy who has Down Syndrome.  FOREIGN LANGUAGES: No foreign languages, but am pretty great with American Sign Language (ASL).  I am currently going to school for Sign Language Interpretation. ADDITIONAL INFORMATION: I have been working with children for the past 10 years on and off in various different settings.  I volunteer at church, YMCA Childcare, Nanny Positions, and Overnighters.  I am very confident in my ability to handle almost any situation that may arise.  Having a child of my own too, has even broadened my confidence and ability to care for children.  I absolutely love children and believe they are gifts from God.

IN 5 YEARS I SEE MYSELF...I'm not sure right now.  I am already married with children.  I have talked about getting into Social Work or OB work.  But my current long-term field is the Nanny Field.  SPECIAL NEEDS EXPERIENCE:  I have a daughter with A.D.D..  I also had a daughter who was a premie on a heart monitor.  Additionally, I have worked with Autism and have a son who has peanut and asthma related allergies.  FOREIGN LANGUAGES: None  ADDITIONAL INFORMATION: I like to work with small children and families who make their nanny feel welcome and appreciated.  I enjoy taking children outside on walks and outings.  I also tend to help with some housework in order for parents to be able to come home to a cleaner home environment and be able to solely focus on spending time with their children--not worrying about cleaning up and finishing laundry.
	NANNY LOCATION: NEWBERG/TIGARD/SHERWOOD EXPERIENCE: INFANTS-TEENS DISCIPLINE PHILOSOPHY: When I need to discipline I make sure that I give 3 warnings first before placing the child in a time-out area. When the child gets older, most of the time discussing the situation/behavior is adequate. But the most important thing would be to make sure that both the parents and nanny agree on one format of discipline to maintain consistency, and stick with that so there is no confusion to the child.. IN 5 YEARS I SEE MYSELF......Well, hopefully I am with a family, helping to raise well-rounded children. But in my personal life I tend to take one day at a time, for it always seems to change. But working for a loving family would be my "constant" and forefront of my life. SPECIAL NEEDS EXPERIENCE: None FOREIGN LANGUAGES: None  ADDITIONAL INFORMATION: I am open to working with pets as well as children. I tend to "roll with the punches" in life--as I am easy-going. If things change or a spare of the moment issue comes up, I am easily adaptable to change. If a family were to need any last-minute care or family life for them changes somehow, I am open to following any changes necessary. I have been known to be there for people 24/7, and I would say that I am very dependable and reliable--which I truly believe a nanny should always ultimately be. I look forward to starting a lasting relationship with a new long-term family.
	NANNY LOCATION: VANCOUVER/PORTLAND EXPERIENCE: NEWBORNS-TEENS DISCIPLINE PHILOSOPHY: I feel that it is very important to be consistent with the discipline provided by the parents.  I feel as though the parents and nannies work as a team and need to provide a united front.  During past childcare I have done, if one of the children were to do something wrong, I would ask them to sit down by themselves for a couple of minutes as well as apologize to me or another child for the behavior.   IN 5 YEARS I SEE MYSELF...I am definitely planning on being graduated from college.  Being that I am a communications major, I would like to find a way that I could integrate my experience with children into my focus of study.  I would love to find a career path in communications that involved either writing about children or for them.   SPECIAL NEEDS EXPERIENCE:  I have done a few temporary nanny positions where I have worked with children with Autism.  I feel that my level of patience allows me to work with children with special needs very well.  I also have a cousin with special needs who I grew up working with, and helping teach him to play softball.  This has helped me understand the mentality and sensitivity of children with special needs.   FOREIGN LANGUAGES: I speak a little bit of Spanish, however, I am not fluent.  Although, I would be really eager to learn and have a family I work with who has an English/Italian speaking household; and I always enjoy learning what I can. ADDITIONAL INFORMATION: I would like to add that I am CPR and First Aid Certified, as well as having a Food Handler's Card.  I have been a nanny for about 6 years and know the importance of this line of work.
